OOCly, we do not want Death to be a final end to your characters in the game. Transformers as a canon - which the game is based on/inspired by - has instances where a character who had been close to if not confirmed as dead coming back to life, and it's by far not the only canon in which this has happened. We want to treat Death as a serious event with serious consequences - hence the request form - but also something that /can/ happen to your character without it being the end of the world.
If your character is killed, you will not be able to play them for a few days, ranging from three days to a week (at the Mods' discretion) depending on the nature of the death. There are a few notes regarding death, though, that we ask you keep in mind;
- If the body is recoverable (within Haven/known to be deceased/not blown in to smithereens/somewhere that can be found), an Acolyte of the respective Firstforged will take possession of it. Upon returning from death, they will maintain all items/upgrades that they had in their possession.
- If it is not recoverable (hidden/outside of the Haven), the character upon returning from death will lose whatever they had on them, including upgrades, personal items, etc. Essentially, they will be restored to how they first entered the game. (Please note that any items they /didn't/ have on them will be fine - it isn't as if their room is cleared out, just what they had in their pockets won't still be there!)
- Characters that die will awaken upon the original altar within their Firstforged's temple, with a distinct feeling of something missing or less within them. This hollow feeling will fade over time, but never completely - and characters that die often will find the feeling more and more vivid each time, and fading less and less. OOCly, this is kept vague on purpose; there is something that is being taken, but you as a player agree to whatever this 'something' is by applying for a death. Players who kill their characters repeatedly may find out just what this is, but we would not recommend doing so for the sake of simply finding out.
- The Firstforged, as a general rule, keep mum about the specifics as to how death can be countered. The Acolytes, if questioned, will only offer the information that the deceased was able to be 'caught', and are currently being 'restored'.
- A character will not be missing memories, or anything of the sort...except for the last few hours before their death. Such will be fuzzy, at best, possibly more so due to the death's nature. (EX; death by head trauma might result in the last few days being vague, rather than simply the hours. We leave this to you.)
Characters will also not remember anything of their time deceased. Their awareness will simply jump from their death, to a groggy reawakening.
If you have read all of this and still intent for your character to experience the taste of death - then please use the following form. Do not kill off your character until you have received an approval, which will include the length of time they will be unplayable as well as any other notes the Mods need to give to you.
